Derek and Holly Atkinson have been a part of the Lawrence Wesleyan Church for the past four years now. They are currently serving as pastors of college-aged and young adults, or us, 512 Ministries. Holly is also serving as our Director of Children's Ministries. They have been married for three years. Derek plays golf and they both enjoy hanging out and drinking coffee with the 512 Students, taking their dog, Sammy, to the dog park, and vicious retro Dr. Mario battles. This summer they were able to visit the Windy City where they experienced everything from a Cubs game at Wrigley Field to Navy Pier and even saw "the bean" at Millenium Park. They both say that they recently felt God's presence in a very real way in the midst of Derek's ordination this summer, when their call into ministry was affirmed by God and those around them. What Derek and Holly are most excited about now is the coming year in 512 Ministries.
